Army badges cigarette cards by Gallahers
These cards were issued by Gallahers in 1939 and feature the badges of many regiments of the British Army.
They are a set of 48, each card has an illustration of the regimental badge on the front and a brief history of the regiment on the back.
As these were issued in 1939 I assume that this was due to the growing imminence of the war and the need to raise public awareness of the armed forces.
The cards are approx 6.3 x 3.7cm.
