Official guide to "The Rare Old City of Chester".
Published for the Chester Corporation as part of the Burrow's "Royal" Handbooks series, No. 542.
It is undated but the rateable values are stated as being for 1913-14 and so that is the probable publication date.
The guide gives the history of Chester with particular attention to the historical features but also includes details of the current city. There are 13 routes around the area for motor and cycle runs, plus details of boating on the River Dee.
A map of the city is included together with a Motoring and Cycling map covering the area from Montgomery to Preston and Conway to Crewe.
Also included are many photos throughout the city.
The guide features adverts for many businesses in the city.
There are 78 pages plus card covers. Size 120 x 180mm.
There is some wear to the covers and the spine and these are a bit grubby, the inside pages are clean and in good condition. Overall it is still in pretty good condition for its age.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
