Cooking the Oxo Way, a recipe book produced by Oxo Ltd to promote the use of their Oxo cubes. It starts with a brief introduction, including a map of the Liebig 'empire' and then moves on to the recipes.
The book contains 40 printed pages of which 37 give recipes using Oxo cubes. These recipes cover a wide range of savoury dishes including soups, sauces, main dishes, snacks and savouries. Unsurprisingly it does not contain any sweet recipes.
Interestingly it has a special Scottish dishes section, which has an introduction stating "to suit tastes north of the border". Quite what is different about Scot's tastes I am not sure, especially as Scotch eggs are included in a different section.
The overall design of the covers is based on cross stitch patterns and the titles etc throughout follow this design. It is undated but I would estimate that it is from the 1950's. The back cover features soups & pastes from Fray Bentos, a brand also owned by Liebig.
Size 175 x 135mm, metal spiral bound with card covers. The book has been used, there is some marking to the covers but overall the book is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
