An original catalogue from William Griffith & Sons, Jewellers of Birmingham. It shows the range of diamond and platinum jewellery that they sold from their premises in Northampton Street, Birmingham.
Very nice cover with an illustration of what I presume were their premises and inside 26 pages of pictures of the jewellery that they sold together with prices, up to 15 items shown on each page. These include rings, bracelets, pendants, brooches, earrings, watches etc. According to the catalogue every item is "photographed from the actual article".
It is undated but looking at the style of catalogue and the jewellery it looks like it could be from the 1920's. (Not that I am an expert on dating jewellery!) The telegraph address also suggests a date in the 1920's.
Size 205 x 145mm, the card cover is held in place with a thin blue cord.
There is some fading around the edges of the covers due to age but the inside pages look as good as when the catalogue was first printed.
A very interesting piece of jewellery ephemera from a company based in the famous Birmingham Jewellery quarter.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
