This is an interesting guide book to Ramsgate in Kent. This was a free guide for visitors, presumably published by the town tourist authority.
It is undated but the advertising insert is dated as 1963.
The guide gives an overview of Ramsgate and its benefits as a holiday destination, it includes many pages of colour and monochrome photos of the town and its attractions. In addition the book contains numerous pages of adverts for hotels in the town, many of them including photographs and illustrations of the hotels. These give a very good picture of the town when it was a major tourist resort.
The guidebook also includes a loose flyer advertising day trips to Calais and Boulogne. These were operated by Eagle Steamers and gave daytrippers 5 hours ashore. No need for a passport, only 2 passport size photos.
There are 104 pages plus thin card covers. Size 210 x 135mm. There is some rounding of the corners and slight damage to the spine but overall it is still in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
