These classic recipe books were issued by the makers of Be-Ro flour to promote the use of their products. Judging by many of the people I talk to every Mother or Grandmother had one of these recipe books and many are still used after several generations.
The name Be-ro comes from a compaction of 'Bells Royal Flour', the original company being founded by Thomas Bell in 1875.
All copies are are all complete and in a good used condition, unless stated otherwise.
There is usually some staining as they were obviously used during cooking. Some have hand-written notes from previous owners or extra scraps of paper inside with other favourite recipes, presumably added by a previous owner.
