Meat Cookery, the Oxo Way, a recipe book produced by Oxo Ltd to promote the use of Oxo cubes. It gives an overview of the Oxo company, their farms and factories as well as lots recipes using Oxo.
The book contains 68 printed pages of which 52 are for recipes using Oxo or show menus featuring dishes made with Oxo. The first few pages give general information about the company and their factories plus general information on cookery overall. The recipe pages feature small drawings of Oxo being used in family and other settings e.g. in a hospital.
Interestingly the recipe section is divided into 2, a British Cookery section and a Canadian Cookery Section, presumably Oxo must have been popular in Canada. The recipes in the British Cookery section were devised by Elizabeth Craig.
It is undated but there is a picture of King Edward VIII which suggests it was published in 1936.
Size 185 x 130mm with card covers. The book has been used, there is some creasing and the cover is loose but still attached, however overall the book is in good condition.
